With an unlimited budget and time, players would be able to go to all of the camps of the various schools they are interested in, work with the coaches, meet the teams and have a chance to showcase themselves.
Unfortunately, camps are expensive (and getting more expensive), and summer camp burnout is a real thing. The following is a list of top camps based on your recruiting goals. If you have narrowed down your list and have 1-2 colleges you have your heart set on, you should prioritize those camps. It is still a good idea to round out your summer (depending on budget and schedule) going to 1 other showcase style camp, and one camp focused entirely on skill improvement. The skill improvement camp can be one of the college camps you go to, but make sure you are continuing to challenge your skill work.
TOP RECRUITMENT CAMPS
2021 Seniors
If you are uncommitted and a school you are interested in takes walk ons, you can go to their summer camp. Make sure the communication has been very clear.
2022 Juniors
Your list should be fairly narrowed down. You should attend about 2 camps at schools you are interested in, and try to attend 1 showcase camp. Be careful to not go to too many individual school’s camps, this could quickly lead to burnout with a busy tournament schedule.
2023 Sophomores
You should attend about 2 camps at your top schools, and about 2 showcase camps, in addition to your regular tournament schedule.
2024 Freshman
You should attend about 2 camps at your top schools, and about 2 showcase camps, in addition to your regular tournament schedule. Make sure to include camps that challenge your skillwork.
